Sketch 232

While I haven't been with OWH since the beginning, I have enjoyed a few years of making cards for the soldiers. I appreciate their sacrifice and if I can do something to ease the separation pains they must feel, then I'm glad I craft for OWH. I told this story to one of my very close family friends this weekend while showing her the cards I've made. Would you believe it? She gave me a donation to send to OWH. Sandy - this one's for you and the .org.

Here is my take on a flipped Sketch 232 for the VCMP this holiday weekend. Enjoy.

Teens

I haven't had a teen at home for about 10 years now. What the heck do teen really like? I see them all the time texting and wearing some of the strangest clothes. When I saw this challenge, I really didn't know how to accomplish this. I dug out my Hello There paper pack and a Project Life card and some Studio Calico arrows - all from my stash. I came up with the card below. Enjoy!

Texture

I enjoyed breaking out the CuddleBug machine for this one. I also dug out an old stamp of a teddy bear. This is a great challenge to use up scraps as well as my textured paper.

Masculine Card Challenge

Masculine cards are a little difficult for me. I like the Fancy Pants paper line "Swagger". I used it for this card and  it really has some great vintage images as well as masculine papers. Enjoy.

Banners and Circles

I really love this challenge as it made me dig through and use a lot of scraps. This is definitely a girly card.

How tweet it is

This is a card for the winged challenge. I really love the country look of this. It is a really old sketch from OWH. Enjoy!

Christmas in July?

Well, not really Christmas or Winter yet since this is the July 4th VCMP for OWH. I enjoyed looking through the goodiies I got last year when all the After-Christmas-Sales were going on. Here is my take on the challenge to make 1 Christmas and 1 Winter card. The Christmas card has a very vintage feel. The Winter card has a very cold feel to it. I used foil paper in this one to set off the deer.
